Static and Dynamic Routing are the two types of routing process used in a router to configure the route of the data packets. Here in this post, I will share the difference between static and dynamic routing in tabular form. Static routing is when you statically configure a router to send traffic to particular destinations in preconfigured directions. Dynamic routing is when you use a routing protocol such as RIP, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, etc to figure what path the data flow.
